Mosaic Origins
[By Valentina Wong] LISTEN TO THE PODCAST

Since its arrival in the UK, the Chinese population has been under-represented in public services. One of the main reasons is the lack of accurate and robust information about their living patterns and consumer behaviour.

Mosaic Origins is a new method of classification designed to understand the cultural, ethnic and linguistic Origins of the diverse population in the UK.

Professor Richard Webber, a visiting professor from University College London, explained to Spectrum Radio in our exclusive interview how organisations can now predict the ethnic and cultural Origins of their customers simply by using their surnames or postcodes.

This revolutionary research tool was designed by Professor Webber and Experian, an expert organisation in information analysis.
