Steve Lau is British Born Chinese. Steve co-founded the Chinatown Online and British Born Chinese websites, both of which have been tremendously successful. The former, as an easily accessible English language resource to Chinese culture, and the latter as a focal point for the British Born Chinese community.
Steve is the author of "Chinatown Britain", the first in depth exploration of the Chinese presence in Britain to be published.
Steve was a founding member of the Chinese Civil Rights Action Group, and has led successful campaigns against the British Library's inaccurate portrayal of the Opium Trade, and the Daily Mail, following outcry from the community over an article which labelled Chinese food as dishonest, and diseased.
Most recently Steve has been elected Chair of the Chinese in Britain Forum.
