Civic Disengagement
Christine Lee, a prominent solicitor and chair of North London Chinese Association, has travelled throughout the UK campaigning for Chinese equality rights.

After spending six months going to from city to city exploring the reasons for political apathy among the British Chinese Ms Lee was determined to take action.

Ms Lee rallied visitors and delegates at this year's conference to join in the 'Integration of British Chinese into Politics' project, an initiative she founded to encourage greater democracy in the government's decision-making process.

The vision and practical goal is to change 150 years of under-representation of the Chinese community in British politics.
