One lucky food lover has won a trip for two to Hong Kong courtesy of Hoo
Hing Ltd, one
of England's largest oriental food suppliers.
Sue McDonald, of Hornchurch, Essex, was delighted when Spectrum Radio called her with the good news. "I was really surprised – I almost forgot about the competition."
Celebrity chef
Ching-He Huang
picked Mrs McDonald from hundreds of entrants in the China Modern
cookbook competition. Spectrum was there to be one of the witness and adjudicator.
Mrs McDonald, who will take her husband Peter on the trip, said: "I'm
very grateful to Hoo Hing for giving us this fantastic opportunity to visit
Hong Kong."
Anyone who had bought Ching's China Modern and entered the lucky draw
on the website of the competition organizers, Hoo Hing Oriental Food Specialists,
was in the running to win the big prize.
And the winner's favourite China Modern recipe? "Kung Po Chicken, of course." |
